Overview

Kazaure Emirate is a historic and culturally rich region located in Jigawa State, northern Nigeria. It holds significant historical, religious, and traditional importance as one of the emirates formed during the early 19th-century Sokoto Jihad.

Historical Background

The emirate was founded by Ibrahim Dan Tunku, a Fulani warrior and scholar, around 1819. It became a center of Islamic learning, commerce, and governance. Over generations, it has maintained its influence under successive emirs who preserved its legacy and leadership integrity.
